Yes, indeed! :-) http://www.rmm3d.com/friend-finder/register.shtml

One reason why it will be so helpful allowing individuals to
search the list by metro region is that most of us probably
don't know this big country's geography in enough detail to
know what other towns are close to Hannibal. I may have friends
in Joplin, Columbia, St. Louis, and Springfield, MO, but still
have no idea, without doing some research, how far they are
from Hannibal. And it might not dawn on me that my buddy in
Munger, IL is less than 10 miles away from Hannibal. Therefore,
the system is designed to allow users to choose their nearest
metro area for listing and searching purposes.

Another good use of the system is to help 3D photo hobbyists
who are traveling to another state or country to find a list
of locals who share their hobby and would be willing to visit
with an out of town shooter or collector. Heading to Tampa
for the Super Bowl and want advice from a local expert on good
3D photo ops in the area? Or are you going to New Orleans for
a conference? Do you want to start a club in your area, but
don't know whether there are any other hobbyists are nearby,
or how to contact them? With a robust list at its disposal,
the 3D Photo FriendFinder(sm) can become the perfect tool for
these and many other situations.

I should clarify that "registering" is not the long, painful,
intimate-details-extracting process of some web registration
procedures. In fact, it might have been better for me to say
"list yourself" in the 3D Photo FriendFinder(sm) service. All
we are asking for is a directory entry, similar to an entry in
your local telephone book. You can enter even less info than
that, if you so choose. One name, a metro region, and one
contact method is all that is required, and it takes only a few
seconds to enter the info in the single page form.

Also note that (sm) in this case is not anything kinky; it just
stands for "service mark." (Similar to trademark, but for a
service instead of a product.) Some might be disappointed in
that news, but this is a "G" rated service. ;-)

Here is an update on where the listings so far are coming from:

California 10.9%
Outside NA/UK 10.9%

Canada 6.8%
New York 6.8%
Texas 6.8%
United Kingdom 6.8%

               ------
Top 6 total 49.0%

Today is the 6-week anniversary of the announcement of this
new free service. I'd have thought that by now it should
have been possible to get 75% or more of photo-3D subscribers
to list themselves with the service. What's everyone waiting
for? Visit http://www.rmm3d.com/friend-finder/register.shtml
(the .shtml is NOT a typo) today so 3D photo hobbyists can
start easily finding each other...some time before the NEXT
millenium!
