Very true! A lot of toys use D size batteries. Consumer products
would benefit from D size batteries but smaller size packaging
requirements preclude this.

For an inexpensive source of button batteries, you might try
those dollar stores. I've seen them around my area in two sizes.
If you have any problems, I can get some. Shipping costs should
be negligible!
