Getting "rid" of snipers doesn't make them go away and not bid on the
item -- it only makes them bid earlier relative to the end of the auction.
In other words, if you thought snipers made prices too high for you,
getting rid of sniping would only make it worse for you.

The only way a sniper can outbid you is for the sniper's bid to be
higher than yours. The sniper doesn't know what your maximum bid
is, and if properly sniping, the sniper has no second chance to outbid
your bid should his/her last-second bid not be high enough.
