Hello,

I'm new to this group but hope to stick around for a long time.

I've been into stereo photo for over 30 years. But, I've really gotten
back into it in a big way since I got into digital imaging.

I've joined the NSA and the SSA and am looking forward to being
involved there too.

Ok, here's my quesiton. I do single camera stereo work. In general I
gauge movement between images for their effect. Sometimes I shoot
still lifes and there it doesn't matter. Other times I shoot scenes
where the illusion of movement adds to the effect I'm after. I want to
enter some of the competitions I'm reading about. But, I'm wondering
if the single camera method is look down upon as amatureish(sp?)? I
suspect it might be, but I hope not. I can't afford two digital
camersa right now (not to mention that the set up attracts a lot
attention on the street) and my fater-in-law's old Kodak stereo
camera, while nice and usable, doesn't offer the seperation control I
like.

So, do I have a chance out there? ;-)

Thanks,

Eric
