[photo-3d] Showscan

I saw a short piece that Showscan has gone Chapter 11 (I don't know
if that's the same showscan as Peter Ellenshaw (right?) or not). The
spec I saw about showscan was that it was to be very wide format and
have a high (like 40 fps) frame rate. There was also some mention of
stereo. I assume there are financing problems plus of course the
competition from IMAX. I seem to recall that Natalie Wood's last
film was to be shot in showscan (I forget the name of that) but that
it was too expensive to shoot 100% showscan, plus the fast fps cost too
much to the theaters, so mainly it was the wide format that was used. 
There was a CineFx article on it, but it's been many years since I read it.

Anyone remember more details?
