Hi ya'll,
Just wanted to encourage all you people out there, that if you have
several boxes of stuff to donate to the local thrift store, make sure
that you look through your stuff at the store when you drop it
off. I had a flat tire and had to unload my trunk into my car to
get at the spare and inadvertantly threw my RBT S1 into one of the
boxes.
Jon was contacted by the lucky man who bought it for $50. The police
gave me the guy's name (Jon couldn't do it legally) and he is planning
on keeping it. I offered him other stereo cameras and lessons on how
to take stereo pictures and to mount them, but he is waitng for the
police to tell him what he has to do (which is nothing - he did
nothing legally wrong).
It is a major financial loss, as I can't claim it on my home owner's
insurance, and I can't afford a new one, now that I'm married and
have other financial obligations. However, it has drawn back to the
profound reality that my wife and (step-)daughter are infinately more
valuable, and that God's nature (Love) is not altered when bad things
happen to me. We also made it through the earthquake with minor
cracking in our walls. I have so much to be thankful for.
Well, I guss I'll start trying out making a twin rig with my Olympus's
and Conessa LK's and try using my Fed which I bought and never used.
I might even pull out my Zak'ed Realist 3.5 and my light meter!
Take care, and thanks for everyone's help, especially Jon's. He is a
very compassionate and gentle man.
Grant
