These come with a wire bail-type folding stand, as they're
intended for use on photos or maps. I didn't like where they
focused with the stand anyway, so I remounted the wire as a
handle for the 2X. For the 4X "SAM" one, the stereo magnifier
is fixed in position. See photos at

A Google search turned up
http://www.emsdiasum.com/ems/magnifier/illuminating.htm
This giant page may take a while to load. They are about a
third of the way down.
68100 Pocket Mirror Stereo Viewer, 2X $31.50
68101 Pocket Mirror Stereo Viewer, 4X $34.00
They're not "mirror" anything, so the title is in error. The
company has a lot of neat-looking stuff in their catalog.

Google also returned a link to Edmund Scientific closeout
items, but they weren't on that page. I don't know if the Peak
company continues to make them or is just selling what they
have on hand. I had to special order them in Japan, but this
was easy. If they are unobtainable in the US, I can see about
getting a supply here.
I also use a head-band type twin magnifier for checking mount
details. It says "10" which must be diopters, but has about a
three inch working distance or focal length with my eyes. This
is a standard "Optivisor" that should be fairly easy to find in
shops that cater to jewelers. It's nicely made, has glass lenses
and probably runs about $40 these days.
