Don't know about the Stylus Epic, but I made up a rig with two OM-10 Olympus
cameras and the motor winders.  I use it primarily for fireworks photography
(on separate tripods about 15 meters apart).  They sync up real well (I use
RC control), and have used them in a close configuration (base-to-base) for
horse racing and car racing shots (appear to be exact sync at 1/1000 sec.).
