I do not believe thaat a few percentage points in eye spacing or in camera
spacing is of any serious moment in determining stereo depth perception.
Also I believe ortho is an overused term as reguards to stereo photography
and of little value- consider the fact that to my knowledge their are no
ortho viewers available with 35 mm viewing lenses ( Illoca viewer I have
never seen , it may be an exception). The approx, 44mm lenses lenses
available on most viewers are off by a factor of allmost 30 percent and the
deWIjs viewer at 60 mm is off by a factor of 60/35 or 70 percent and people
appear to be satisfied with this miss-match. If MF viewers were this far off
they would have lenses of 100 mm and 127 mm respectively-both of which I
would find of poor value or just plain lousey. DON
