I would have a problem with this for two reasons.  First, a lot of the
slides I'd like to scan are 40+ years old and I don't want to remove the
film chips.  Second, of the new slides I have, I use heat seal mounts
and sealed them "very well" so that removing the film chip completely
destroyes the mount and could potentially damage the film chip.

So, I'll stick to a scanner that I can use the mounts "as is".
