I'm not happy with this setup. I've one Winder. To be able to
fire the two cameras in sync, I think I can do two things :

 1) Buy a second winder and fire both cameras with a Y-cable.
 2) Use the two contacts in the bottom of the cameras.

Does anybody know the 'pin-out' of these contacts ?
Will just connecting them together be enough or do I have
to supply 6 volt to them (4 x 1.5 volt is used in the winder ) ? >>

Sorry - don't think it'll work electrically without the second winder,
and the second winder setup won't synch perfectly.

You see, the shutters are tripped by the pin that goes into the slot
on the bottom of the camera.

So. The cameras can be synched mechanically, and surpisingly accurately!
All you need is a bar sliding along in the mounting bar with two pins - one
for each camera. If you get the pins the right distance apart the shutter
release
on one camera will pull the pins and trip the second camera.

You will probably want to put a fixed pin to hold each camera accurately in
position (there is an equivalent pin on the winder that you have....)

If you decide to go down this route, then I can give you a few more tips and
wrinkles. I've made this rig and it would synch hot air balloon flames!!!
