Their standard shipping is now FedEx 3 day service, which is
unfortunate for the customer, IMO. They charged me around
$7.50 for shipping a 14 ounce package. Because I ordered on
a Wednesday and FedEx only counts business days (M-F), my
order didn't arrive until Monday (5 days). By comparison,
an RMM order up to 1 lb would cost $4 for domestic shipping
by Priority Mail. Orders shipped on Wednesday are delivered
to most US customers on Friday, some locations on Saturday.
That's an advantage of 2-3 days for orders placed Wednesday;
orders placed other days will have a 1-2 day delivery time
advantage for most US customers, and the shipping cost in
this example is almost 50% less. I think I understand why
B&H went this route, but as a customer I would prefer to be
able to get my product more quickly at a lower shipping cost.

I agree that B&H is a great place to shop, but you have to
order by their cutoff time on Tuesday if you want to get
something the same week, without paying a shipping upgrade
charge. If you are like me and you hate having mail-order
film sit who-knows-where over a weekend, place your B&H
order early in the week!
