Do you happen to know how they're doing it? A specially made beam-splitter
attached to the front of the lens? The XPan has a panoramic
viewfinder...wouldn't it also require masking of the viewfinder to know what
you're actually taking a picture of?
Wouldn't it be nice if Nikon, Canon, Minolta, etc., came out with an actual
stereo camera? When you look at the limited market they have for some of
their already in production models (how many Hasselblad XPans are sold in a
year? or how many Canon EOS-D30s will be sold before they're
obsolete?)...you've got to wonder if they wouldn't be able to sell just as
many stereo cameras!
