Hi everybody!
I also wondered about an hypostereo lens set (2 lenses twinned in the same
barrel) and a beam splitter/spreader allowing orthostereo separation of
views.
(something like was made for Leicas, Contax, Exakta and I believe for Nikon
S as well...)
Indeed I'm afraid the Hasselblad mount gauge (diameter) isn't wide enough to
allow such a Stemar-like twn lens (to work, each lens shuold face it's
frame) but if I'm wrong it would be fantastic! It would mean all the pros of
beamslitters, without the cons... The view finder is a lesser problem (an
auxiliary finder would do the job)

Do you happen to know how they're doing it? A specially made beam-splitter
attached to the front of the lens? The XPan has a panoramic
viewfinder...wouldn't it also require masking of the viewfinder to know what
you're actually taking a picture of?
