Oh, I don't know that I'd consider "dinosaur" a disparagement.  Those
dominating beauties were solidly built, eminently functional, expert at
fending off challengers, widely distributed and very long-lasting -- it
took a global catastrophe to get them off the planet.  Like the Realist
perhaps?

Losing K25 may be a global catastrophe (maybe).  Digital may be a the
evolutionary leap that will bury gears, levers, shutters and emulsions
under strata of silicon.  But I reckon the old lizards aren't gonna go
without a long fight.  I wouldn't start searching thrift stores for S1's
just yet.
