[photo-3d] EOS Rebel X sync question

I have read the archived messages regarding twin rigs and the methods
used to synchronize two 35mm cameras. I am most interested in having
two matched cameras and lenses to use for hypers of distant views. It
is my understanding that the Canon Rebel X accepts a remote switch, but
I could not find a jack on the camera body to accept the switch (I was
browsing the camera department of a department store without sales
person assistance).

Ideally, I would like to use a long cable with a mini-plug on each end
to trigger one camera when the button on the other is pressed. It this
possible with the Rebel X? I would like to go with an SLR over a point
and shoot camera for the extra measure of control, but would still like
to keep the cost reasonable. The Rebel X I saw cost 199.95, but I'm not
sure if that included the lens.

Thanks for any help,
Duke
