S3D Fairchild Stereoscope for sale

Hi All,

I'm selling my Fairchild F-71 Miltary Stereoscope used by the US Army. This
is a precision mirror/prism stereoscope used to view aerial photos from
reconnisance missions. Unfolded it measures 24" x 11" x 9", and fits into a
wooden box 19" x 7" x 6" (included). You can view two 5x7" stereo images
with this. The package also includes the 4x binocular attachment and the
original mirror protectors. Originally retailing for arouind $620 US, I've
seen them for as high as $1200 on the collector market.

Condition is good, with minor paint wear, and slight spots on the mirrors
(they don't seem to reduce the quality of the image).
One imperfection worth noting: One of the prisms in the binocular
attachment is chipped and needs replacing. I am told the Edmund Scientific
in the States may have a replacement for this. This does not affect regular
stereo viewing, only the 4x magnification viewing.

Price is only $175 plus shipping ( expect a big package )!

one for sale also has handles on it above the mirrors. I just don't have
time to take a real photo of this!
