S3D eBay buy/sell

I've purchased quite a few things on eBay, with no problem, and with one
exception where I got carried away, at what I considered fair prices.
For all items over a few dollars, it is usual to request insurance..and
in fact, usually, it's offered.    If in fact the item in question was
in fact broken in transit, which is a reasonable possibility, then you
could have gotten your money back, at least. and this thread could die a
decent death.
