Would $100 talk someone out of one of their spare Stereo 50 magazines (you
only need one to use the thing)? Or I could do a complete
redo/cleaning/adjusting of a Kodak stereo camera... 

Surely someone out there bought some spares!

I could cobble something together with Berg parts, but I'd sure like to
avoid that sort of ordeal.
