S3D NOT going

Greg Terry and I (from View*Productions) are regrettably NOT going to
NSA'99. It has nothing to do with eBay. We've decided to invest our
meager resources (time and money) in the production of at least 2 new
View* packets. One packet should be ready by Christmas (another Frank
Lloyd Wright title) and the second by Spring 2000.

Hopefully, we'll see y'all in Arizona. 

In the meantime, those who DO go to Green Bay and get to meet the
View-Master people could convey these thoughts:

1. The diffusers on the standard viewers should once again be made of a
smooth, fine-grained material instead of the current horsehide.

2. New viewers should be designed by optical engineers rather than toy
marketers. Since when can't an ergonomic design make money? 

3. Custom reel production should feature shorter lead times (per the
pre-Fisher-Price era) and higher quality control.
