Do I see a conflict of perception here?  Conceptual Rivalry?

I read a lot of grousing about the commercial aspects of NSA
conventions - some complain about people selling there yet the
complainer is going there to buy!  How odd.

I thought the fundamental reason to hold Conventions was to gather
together and meet, discuss - to come together.

How did the darned Marketplace take over, AGAIN?!

There are, for me, far better and more interesting and rewarding
reasons to attend than just to buy some queer trinket or other.

Some of the most interesting aspects of 3D photography are the
people who do it!
