S3D Re: fed VS fedboy

I've heard Kalimex is ok, but I've never dealt with them. They seem
expensive. I was under the impression that a true FEDBoy would have been
entirely reworked by the Boy company in Germany. This was certainly the
case with the FEDBoy projector-- it was completely gutted and all that
remained of the original FED projector were the housing and lenses and
carriers. New motors, lamp housings, polarizers... I'd suspect anything
coming out of Russia marked FEDBoy. But I'm not an expert. Re fixing Feds,
I've never seen a lot of detailed repair info published.  I had to
reconstruct an aperture control lever on a FED (by removing a lens and
then riveting a new brass extension on the inside aperture ring).  It was
a fair amount of disassembly but that's about it re my experience.  If you
find a place to buy manuals, please let us know!
