S3D FS: 'battery commanders scope': stereo binoculars

For Sale: 3 (quantity) 'battery commanders rangefinders'; binoculars with
objectives that are on one foot extension tubes that swivel out to place
the lenses about 27 inches apart for greatly enhanced sense of depth.
All 3 are military khaki color & the same size, about 50mm objectives,
about 7 power, they open to place the objectives 27 inches apart, very
roughly they weigh 10 -12 pounds but those with the geared head (removable)
are about 5 more. All are designed to use in two positions: both tubes
upright, as a trench binocular; and both tubes outstretched, as a stereo
rangefinder. These are difficult to repair so that they are collimated in
both positions. They are supposed to be pretty easy to collimate in one
position or the other; some models use a simple tilting mirror behind the
objective; but I have no experience in this & cannot promise how easy it
would be.
Shipping from Oregon not included in price. I will carefully pack these in
bubble wrap & a large sturdy box, but cannot guarantee collimation on
arrival, especially if UPS is used. These are rugged military equipment
but the military does not drop their optics off the end of chutes -- UPS does.
1--British made, collimated in the upright position but not collimated in
rangefinder position, very clean optics & body, very nice heavy leather
case is splitting on a few seams. $140. image:

--Probably US made (B&L), but unmarked, used by Forest Service. Out of
collimation. Missing one cover plate for prism housing. Optics good
condition, have some haze & dirt, no chips or damage. This one has the
correct tripod & geared head for altitude & azimuth adjustment. $110.

--Russian made, well made case has Israeli markings, optics clean, both eye
lenses have scratches that are not visible in use, collimated in
rangefinder position, with geared head for tripod use that works but is not
attached. This one is ready to use & gives excellent images. $190.

Quantity discounts. I will also trade for some binoculars, telescopes,
astronomy equipment, optical testing tools.
