I agree.  In fact if just look at the geometry I drew, and go from the
right view to the left view instead of from the left view to the right
view, that's what you'll see.

If I understand the rest of your analysis properly, I agree.

I need a refresher on what Jim C means by vertical disparities.  He or
someone else discussed it on P3D a long time back and it made sense at
the time but I don't remember it.  But I agree with you that if you
have a rectilinear setup on a slidebar, there can't be any vertical
disparity in the two resultant views.
