I was very interested in BobH's comments about the Cooke triplet in digest
144 as I recently acquired an old Cooke process lens although I can't
remember its exact specifications at the moment. I wanted it for an old
device I have which is essentialy a "Magic Lantern" but is probably actually
a horizontal enlarger . The lens has an iris down to F/64 but does not
appear to focus at all so may be from an enlarger although the front
element does unscrew completely and it looks as if it may be supposed to
focus from the back by sliding but has seized up. It can also be screwed
into its bezel reversed, I had thought just to send mail to BobH but
perhaps other members of the group might have some information. P.J.Homer
