Bob - The question was MONOCULAR blur -- a contact lens over one eye for
up-close reading, with no contact lens over the other eye for distance vision,
so people don't have to wear reading glasses which they think makes them
look bad. Westheimer's data clearly shows that this impairs stereo vision
substantially, and so the suggestion still stands that it could have been a
cause of the plane crash for the pilot so wearing the single contact lens,
assuming that stereo vision is important for flying, which my guess is that
it does under stressed conditions. I think you misinterpreted...
