I was just wondering if MT is a specific means of measuring
contrast and the perhaps contrast function was a similar but not
truly identical way of measuring contrast.

Any way, I just wish MTF was available, even at the expense of
resolution data.  At least with MTF you have a meaningful measure
of contrast at any lpm and calculating the system mtf from the
components MTFs is straigt forward.

Sigh.

Insight in this general area would be most helpful.
