I'm sorry, I didn't understand you wanted only a first-order answer.
Sure, if the camera lens is focused at approximately infinity, then 
"putting glasses on it" will make it refocus to ~ the focal length of 
the glasses.  When I saw all your figuring, I assumed you were trying 
to do a really super-precise calculation telling you exactly where the
plane of sharp focus was in object space relative to the camera.  So 
much for _my_ assumptions!

Sounds like Henry has the same reservations you do about the amount of 
format left after you convert a Nishika to macro.
