Combined with your post to John O, you seem to be assuming that film provides
a resolution of about 24000 to 48000 pixels per inch - that's a factor of
12-24 greater than a number I seem to recall for "typical" film.

We have a mighty big printer at work - I'll see if I can find the specs.
