Yes, but you pay for them. Much wider fovs are available too.
Binocular viewing is available (two eyepieces but only one
ocular/primary). Not cheap because the eyepiece focal lengths must be
matched very well. Astronomers spend hours intensely looking at objects
and thus probably have higher standards than necessary for a stereo
viewer. Also astronomers do use binoculars. $300 binos are considered
entry level.
I assumed that the possiblity of using telescope eyepieces was being
discussed in order to keep costs down. If you want a custom optical
design, there will be many opical engineers pleased to accomodate your
every wish when feasible.
My suggestion is just go to an amateur astronomy club "star" night ie a
night when nonmembers are invited to use members equipment. Ask to
briefly borrow eyepieces to view your slides. Make sure you do your
tests in the club house or some where bright lights are permitted!!!!!!
40mm eyepices are quite common.
