NO it will be in focus in all areas (if you allow that it may not 
have critical detail due to less concentrations of rods and cones).
It is the camera lens (that will not be in focus if presented with 
the curved retina). This leads to the question if flat field 
eyepieces are like the Kodak Projection lens (for heat dished 
slides), really designed with a curved field to match the retina??? 
It gets stickier when we consider how the brain pieces together the 
information in the mind's eye. BobH
