In the US, "greetings" means "hello". I think you
mean "good-bye". 8-) 8-)
I enjoyed the rest of your article on depth limits
by semi-analogy. I can't bring myself to call it
an analogy, because it is too close to just right.
I think non-mathematical people should be able to
understand it easily.
I noticed that it was not easy to do what you wanted
in ASCII art. What I gave done in the past is to
make a graphic file such as a jpeg or more likely a
gif, if it is a line drawing, and then send it to Bob
Wier who would then put it on the 3D web site. That
impeded the free flow of information because it was a
time-consuming process. I have asked Bob Wier and it
would indeed be OK to post graphics to this list or
he could set up another list just for posting graphics.
The latter approach would be a lot of work on his part.
Big question: Is it a good idea to post graphics to
this list? I would not want to blow a single subscriber
out of the water with jumbo-files but if everyone can
handle them, and is otherwise in favor of it, then we
can do it. If you have comments on graphics files being
posted here, I'd like to hear them. Preferably off-list
since the list talking about itself is not a charter topic.
But if you have something that everyone should consider,
don't hesitate.
Thanks,
John B
