Andrea,
I don't see any problem with your making macros by the trial and error 
method you use now.  Your stereo pairs look absolutely outstanding to me.  
I think this math business is best left to people who are amused by math.  
And of course, those on this list who are so amused would be pleased to 
run the spreadsheet for you given specifics about your desired setup.
