Is this one of those images where the foreground is all blurry, the subject
is sharp but 2D, and the background is all blurry?

If that's what we're talking about, what little "stereo effect" there is
comes from the blurry parts.  It's really hard to describe, and not very
attractive, IMHO.

Perhaps Dr. Carter would place a simple example of this technique online
for us to see?
