TC said  "Hey! Check with a co. named, i believe, "American Science &
Surplus" in Chicago. They've got optics for sale, but i've not bought any
from them.  The place seems to be a cross between Edmund & Archie McFee's!"

I've got an ancient catalog from these guys (1995 or so).. so I hit their
web site (http://www.sciplus.com/) , filled out the form to get an new
catalog, and it never showed up... I called them to find out if they had an
item from the old catalog (they didn't), so I asked 'em on the phone for a
new catalog.  This was about 3 weeks ago. Still have not seen the catalog.
Anyone ever buy from these folks??
