T3D Bellows

I have a "No. 2 Stereo Brownie"(1905-10) and would
like to preserve it the best possible way. It is kept
and enclosed cabinet with a glass front door.
1. Should I keep the camera opened and the  bellows   
extended?

2. How can I prevent the bellows from drying out?
