Infrared light varies so much and you can't base exposure that accurately
on ambient light. I use EI 200 as a base and do a 5-stop bracket in 1-stop
increments, two stops on either side. That gets 7 images on a 36-exposure
roll with one waste frame. I may use a lot of film but you just can't
go on experience much with infrared illumination, and I almost always
get an acceptable frame.
