- Name: Charley Lynch

- Profession/Study: staff photographer for a book publishing company

- Country: USA (Western Kentucky)

- Personal history of photography: The last 3-4 years I have worked in a
studio photographing antiques, collectibles, etc. for Schroeder Publishing
Company in Paducah, KY. Most of my photographic education has come from pro
friends, reading/studying, and the school of hard knocks.

- preferred subjects: I sincerely like it all (except weddings...did one for
a friend -- it went okay, but the stress almost killed me -- never again).
I'm not good at sneaking up on people, either.

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): 90% of my film is either
Kodak EPR or EPP transparency. B&W is Kodak TMax 100 or 400. I have just
purchased some Konica 120 infrared. I use the basic yellow, green, orange &
red filters for B&W and I'm trying out a Tiffen multicoated haze filter. Use
a medium soft focus for some portraits. Still experimenting with paper and
chemistry.

- format (35mm/medium format/large format): 4x5, 6x7, 6x6 and some 35mm.

- Other strange hobbies: With three sons, I think it must be baseball practice.

- How did you find out about this list: Photoforum (I only stayed on that
list for about 3 days).

- Expand on anything photographic you like: Since I work during the day in a
studio doing "tabletop" setups with transparency film and electronic flash,
infrared and B&W is a nice, refreshing change for my own personal work.

I will "lurk" alot, but will feel free to jump in occasionally.
