Bio
--Name: Pauline Steinbrink
--Profession/Study: Engineering Associate for a government
contractor. Starting a business on the side in pet portraiture.
--Working toward a BFA with a major in Graphic Design with the hopes of
starting my own studio someday.
--Country: USA (currently transplanted in Tennessee - originally from
Montana)
--Personal history of photography: Started in photography shooting B&W
with a instamatic 127 camera. Graduated to color several years later
using a Yashica 35mm. Really got serious when I bought my first Nikon
in 1982 at which time I went back to shooting B&W when taking
photography courses at the local university (which at the time I
lived in Tucson, AZ). Have been shooting both color and B&W ever
since. I like the effects of IR and have a couple of rolls of
Ektachrome IR in the freezer waiting for me to shoot.
--Preferred subjects: landscape, nature, macro (flowers, insects or
any unusual object), old buildings, city scapes, bridges (esp covered
ones)
--Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): For color slides:
Ektachrome Elite or Lumiere, Fuji Velvia. For color prints: Fuji
Super G plus in 100 & 400 400, Kodak Royal Gold 100 & 400, recently
have gotten into trying some of the high speed films for available
light photography at night. For B&W film: Tri-X, T-Max, Arisa. B&W
