- Name:  Rick Ferncase

- Profession/Study:  Associate Professor of Film and Television

- Country:  USA

- Personal history of photography  Have been shooting IR for over 15 years.
Have also made a number of films.  Have written two books on film lighting
for Focal Press and one for Greenwood on American independent films.  Teach
cinematography.

- preferred subjects:  Landscapes, nudes

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):  Kodak HIE, #25 red filter,
used to use Agfa Portriga-Rapid (looking for similar warmtone paper now
that PR is discontinued), selenium tone.

- format (35mm/medium format/large format):  In still photography, have
worked exclusively with 35mm.

- Other strange hobbies:  Can't reveal the "strange" ones, but I do enjoy
mountain biking, all kinds of travel, writing, painting, certain (but not
all) movies

- How did you find out about this list:  Willem-Jan wrote and told me about it

- Expand on anything photographic you like:  I prefer still photography to
filmmaking.  It's much more pure, and not dependent on storytelling,
writing, or acting per se.
