This is my first post, I have been lurking in the background for a while. I
used to shoot IR film back in 1970, it was great fun, so I pulled out those red
#25 filters and decided to have some fun.

Last weekend I shot two rolls of out of date Konica 750nm - 120 roll film.
Dated FEB. 1994. Found the film for $2.00 a roll, when I bought five.

I exposed per the data sheet ie. Red #25 filter, f5.6 @ 1/60 second (bright
sun, outdoors). and bracked 1 stop up and 1 stop down. Focus and then back off
a little, my lenses did not have IR markings, my old Pentax did.

I took it to the custom lab I use and had them process it in Kodak D-76 (their
normal B&W developer, I knew it would be fresh) for 8 minutes instead of the
recomended 6 min. at 20-c. per the data sheet. I just took a guess at 8.

The shots came out great, not over or under developed, perfect. The recomended
exposure was the best, giving the greatest range of black in the shadows and
"sky"! (I love IR film) and brillant highlights in the leaves. Nice film. The
over exposed shots have a even greater "bizzar" look, ie. whiter foliage etc.

By the way, no pinholes or fogging, except for fogging the last frame on one
roll that I did not roll tightly when removed from the camera, haven't done
that in a long time. (If Konica can make a light proof backing paper for IR,
Kodak could if they thought their was any money in it.

If anyone would like to see one of these shots, where and how could I post it?
