Re: backing paper

The only problem would be that a metal backing would be VERY reflective.
It might actually make halation worse.  One possibility would be a
carbon-based paper or plastic.  Just to make sure you could use a
silver mylar polyester paper (opaque to IR) with a carbon impregnated
front layer.  It should be very opaque and very non-reflective.  (Now
just need to find someone who will MAKE such a beast!)
