Absolutely, which is why I try planning my useage whenever possible. 
Regardless of my precautions, I always end up foffing the beginning of
the roll.  Of course, I should get a loading tent anyway, as I shoot
4X5, which would be the right way to do things, but that'll have to wait
another couple of months.
