A suggestion regatrding fogging.  As I seem to remember, the Kodak
IR filmds, unlike Konica and Ilford, are NOT sensitized to green light.
If this is so, it may be possible top load the film under a dim 
green panchromatic safelight.  I'm not at all sure of this, and long
ago threw out my Kodak IR handbook.  But I seem to remember that the
film has a "blind spot" in the green due to lack of any sensitizer dye
sensitive in that range.  Might be worth a call to Kodak?
