Opening Of The Infrared Gallery!

A historic moment in our brief mailing list history..;-)

I put the first CRUDE version ( that means : only a frames version,
non-frames one in process, links not ready, no technical details (your
server on hoiday, George?)etc..). But I already put it up to show you the
work of our first artist, and also to encourage you to send in work (see
below)

But first the address:

http://ruly70.medfac.leidenuniv.nl:82/~cor/ir-gallery.html

And our first artist: George L Smyth

his work is not new to the most of us I guess (but still worth looking at
it for the second time!), but it will show how the Gallery will function.

So check it out and comment! (also feel free to correct my spelling....)

.and SEND work!

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

As promised: "our own Gallery!"

Intention: a visual platform to show YOUR IR images!
(no rules on what kind of images, except the ones I find offensive but I
doubt that that will happen)

HOW TO SUBMIT??
---------------

Electronically (If possible preferred)
//////////////////////////////////////

        a) by Email (as attachment), incorporate as much details as
possible (film, exposure, filter, processing, other details)

        b) by anonymous FTP:ftp.ruly70.medfac.LeidenUniv.Nl
put your files in directory: /pub/incoming (you won't be able to view the
content of this dir., put you can put files there)

Format
//////

Submit your digital images as JPEG(JPG) files, size in pixels about
800*600, compression level: medium (or equivalent).

If you use FTP; also submit a .TXT file (use same name as JPG file),
ASCII format with your technical details and other stuff you like to add.
Don't FORGET to Email me that you FTPed something!

If you use Email' as said attach the .JPG's and clearly discribe te
details about the images in the message.

Snail Mail
//////////

        You can send your images to my home adres. Take care of a good
envelope. Send glossy prints of roughly the size of 9*13 cm (3,5*5 inch)
or larger. I didn't found a way to return your images (yet...,
suggestions?), because it seems that, say, australian stamps are not valid
in Holland ;-).
