How did you set your flash meter for HIE & #87C?
The same as outdoors, 10-12 ASA?

Just a thought: you might run into a Schwarzschildt effect you've
never seen before....1/1000s is not something the Konica engineers
would have been worried about when they wrote the spec sheet....;-))

Must remember that.
BTW, my darkroom specialist friend ran some more extreme tests with
SFX. He used a B+W 093 filter (equals #87C), and got an effective
film sensitivity of -30 DIN (yes 'minus'!). I believe he said he
exposed for 4 minutes (f5.8-8 I guess), and developed the film for
about 30 minutes....8-))
Also a nice testimonial that ASA is worthless in some cases....you
need a calculator to read the same in (fractions) of ASA....;-))
