You do take everything literally don't you? ;) The comment was
merely my attempt at light hearted humour refering to the way this
filter appears when you first look *at* it rather than *through* it.
When you suggest taking a look outside in bright sunlight, you mean
look at a scene lit by bright sunlight as opposed to looking at the
sun itself? I've read elsewhere in this list that to look at the sun
through these dark red filters could do permanent damage to the eye.
