To maximize grain, try Rodinal.  It will leave the grain alone (most
developers chew away at the edges) and provide you with the largest
apparent grain possible.

As HIE has no speed valuation, "pushing" and "pulling" don't really come
into play.  You can, however, expose at least EI50 through EI1000 for
differing effects.  By the end of the month I hope to place a few
comparitive examples on my Web page.
