Re: Konica IR versus Kodak HIE
Hi group,
Can anyone tell me if the regular processing labs know how to process IR
film as they would black and white film? If I told them that I shot the
Konica roll at 50 ASA, would they process and treat the film as any ordinary
b&w film. I don't know what developer they use, but if the D-76 is not used
in a 1:1 solution, it would seem to me that I would not get the same effects
as if I process it myself. maybe that's why some of my first rolls had the
overexposed skys with light colors rather than dark skys when I used a 25
filter and metered directly (TTL) through my camera meter. I think I was
using a setting of 32 ASA at the time and had the lab process it according
to the 32 ASA. Any advice would be appreciated.
