- Name: Paul D. Wilson

- Profession/Study: Software Engineer/Database Developer

- Country:USA

- Personal history of photography: I'm an amateur (I like to think I'm
advanced) and got serious about 4 years ago. I inherited a bunch of antique
photo equipment from my grandfather. I sold the lesser stuff and bought a
Nikon and kept the better stuff to display and for sentimental reasons. My
grandfather used to design portrait lenses for view cameras and they were
very widely used. He was the Pinkham in Pinkham&Smith. If anyone knows
anything about these lenses, please contact me. My father is also an avid
photographer so I have a family tradition to keep up.

- preferred subjects: Nature and abstract stuff, especially macro. Lately
I've been trying portraits with HIE and also cross processed E-6.

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
B&W - HIE and an occasional roll of Tech-Pan
Color - Velvia and E100SW for slides and the new Reala for prints (great stuff)

- format (35mm/medium format/large format): I use Nikon for 35 and recently
sold a Pentax 67 when I decided it wasn't right for me. I plan on getting a
Fuji MF rangefinder sometime.

- Other strange hobbies: Mountain Biking (not that it's particularly
strange). One of these days, I'm going to clamp a camera and ultra-wide
angle lens to my bike and fly through the woods. Some longish exposures
should make for a nice effect.
